Chapter 561: An Ugly Carnival in a Bloody Storm
Chapter 561: An Ugly Carnival in a Bloody Storm
Looking at the bodies of the special female soldiers lying in a pool of blood, I felt an indescribable sense of relief. Liu Mei, the commander of the Great Zhou's special female soldiers, this reckless woman, had actually dreamed of leading her female soldiers to challenge our Canglang Alliance. Now, her entire army had been annihilated. She truly overestimated her own abilities.
I crossed my arms, a scornful smile playing on my face, as I slowly walked towards the horrific battlefield. The masters of the Canglang Alliance gathered around me, their faces filled with smugness and arrogance. The female generals and soldiers on the ground, some with their eyes wide open, died with their eyes wide open; others, their bodies twisted, blood still gushing from their wounds.
"Deputy Chief, this is the fate of going against our Canglang Alliance!" One of the subordinates said flatteringly, his eyes full of numbness to death and admiration for violence.
"Hmph, are they worthy enough to fight us?" I snorted coldly and kicked the corpse of the female soldier closest to me. The corpse turned over under my kick, and its arms swung unnaturally, as if making a final struggle.
At that moment, a Canglang League expert stepped forward and used his long sword to pry open the shorts of a female soldier. The soldier's fair skin was covered in gunshot wounds and blood, glaring in the sunlight. "Look at this delicate girl, she wanted to be a hero, but now she's just a dead dog!" he said viciously, a lewd smile on his face.
The people around me burst into laughter, a sound that was particularly harsh on this bloody battlefield. As I watched this scene, I felt no pity at all, only contempt for the enemy and pride in my own strength.
"Slash their faces! They won't look good even after they die!" I shouted. My men immediately obeyed, drawing their daggers and slashing at the faces of the female soldiers. The sharp blades sliced through their flesh, blood splattered, and the once young and beautiful faces instantly became hideous and terrifying.
"Where's Liu Mei? Where's the leading woman?" I cried. A moment later, someone brought Liu Mei's body over. Over a dozen spears had been thrust into her throat, and another spear had been thrust into her back. Blood had stained her leather armor dark red. Her navel had been pierced by the Canglang Alliance leader's spear, staining her leather shorts bright red. Her eyes were tightly closed, but a look of unyielding determination remained on her face.
"Oh, that self-righteous Liu Mei? She's nothing special," one of my men said, reaching out to touch her face. I stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "Don't touch her! I'm going to deal with this woman myself," I said, snatching the dagger from his hand, squatting down, and gently slashing Da Zhou Liu Mei's cheek.
"Aren't you a good fighter? Didn't you want to protect your sisters? Now look, they all died in front of you, you useless piece of shit!" I said viciously, my voice full of anger and ridicule.
Liu Mei seemed to have not heard me, still lying there quietly. My rage intensified, and I stabbed her in the stomach with all my might. Blood spurted from the wound, splashing onto my face. I wiped the blood from my face with my hand, and looking at the crimson on my hand, I felt a sense of pleasure.
"Hang their bodies up! Hang them at the city gate! Let everyone see this: this is what happens when you go against the Canglang Alliance!" I shouted. My men immediately sprang into action, tying up the bodies of the female soldiers and Liu Mei with ropes and hanging them from the tall poles at the city gate.
The city gate gradually filled with people. They looked at the hanging corpses, their faces filled with fear and shock. "See? This is the price of rebelling against our Canglang Alliance! Anyone who dares to oppose us again will be set an example!" I shouted to the crowd.
The crowd was completely silent, with only the gentle breeze stirring the corpses, causing them to sway slightly. I knew they were frightened, and the prestige of our Canglang Alliance would become even more deeply rooted in their hearts.
"Deputy Chief, we've truly triumphed this time!" one of my men said, his face brimming with excitement. "Of course! Who will dare to look down on our Canglang Alliance from now on?" I said proudly.
Yet, at this moment, a sudden sense of unease welled up within me. Looking at the corpses hanging at the city gate, I seemed to see hatred and rage in their eyes. I knew that, despite our temporary victory, the seeds of hatred had been planted, and they might one day take root and sprout, bringing us even greater trouble.
But what does it matter? My Canglang Alliance has never feared our enemies. As long as we are strong enough, no one will dare to challenge us easily. Looking at the corpses hanging at the city gate, I secretly vowed to make anyone who dared to resist us pay a heavy price.
"Let's go back to camp!" I shouted, turning and walking towards the camp. Behind me, the masters of the Canglang League followed me, their steps neat and powerful, as if announcing to the whole world that our Canglang League was invincible.
On the way back to camp, I kept thinking about this battle. Although we eliminated the special female soldiers, this is just the beginning. In the future, we will face more enemies and more challenges. But I believe that as long as our Canglang Alliance is united, nothing can stop us from moving forward.
Back at camp, I sat in my tent, drinking wine and reminiscing about the battlefield. The screams and pleas for mercy from the female soldiers still ring in my ears, but I know that in this world where the strong prey on the weak, pity and sympathy are useless. Only by becoming stronger can we survive in this world.
"Deputy Chief, what should we do next?" one of my men asked. I put down my glass, looked at him, and said, "Continue to expand our influence and recruit more people to join the Canglang Alliance. At the same time, keep a close eye on the surroundings. If any enemy appears, eliminate them immediately!"
My men nodded, understanding my point. I stood up, walked out of the tent, and gazed into the distance. In that distant sky, it seemed as if a greater storm was brewing. But I was not afraid. My Canglang Alliance would continue to forge ahead amidst this bloody storm and become the masters of this world!
