Chapter 139 DC - Bruce Wayne Who Doesn't Believe
Chapter 139 DC - Bruce Wayne Who Doesn't Believe
“Don’t worry about me, but you seem to be in trouble.” Dio pointed to the television and the spaceship in the sky.
Clark Kent sighed helplessly: "Yes, trouble is brewing."
He planned to reveal his identity and then meet with General Zod directly.
Dio didn't say anything and handed him the comic books one by one.
Clark Kent took it curiously, then his gaze became blank.
The person in the picture is a man wearing the same tight-fitting clothes as him, except that the other man is wearing his red underwear on the outside.
“This is a Marvel DC comic,” Dio said, pointing to the comic book in Clark’s hand.
Then I briefly explained the specific situation to him.
Simply put, Marvel has DC Comics, and DC has Marvel Comics. Apart from the fact that there are no Marvel movies now and there are some strange organizations and people, the other cultural and historical aspects are the same.
Just like when Dio first appeared, he was mistaken by Clarke for the Emperor of Warhammer, the Warhammer IP is also owned by a large company.
Clark quickly scanned the comics at super speed and then said, "General Zod wants to rule the Earth?"
“No, no, no, in the comics it’s about domination, but in this world, he wants to reshape Earth, to turn it back into what it used to be, Krypton,” Dio denied.
"Transform into Krypton? Then Earthlings..."
Clark paused, seemingly lost in thought, and stopped speaking. Dio, seeing this, offered no explanation; after all, everyone knew.
“Then I need to find allies.” Clark’s eyes were resolute.
If General Zod were to actually transform Earth into a Kryptonian environment, Earth would face a mass extinction!
Are those few Kryptonians supposed to live in a wasteland?
Clara thought about it carefully.
"Should we just go and acknowledge our identities?" Dio asked him.
Clark took a deep breath: "No, this country is unreliable. I need to find my teammates."
"Bruce, Diana, Barry..."
Clark muttered these people's names to himself, and Dio listened for a long time.
Ok.
There is no Aquaman Arthur.
Clark stood up, already having a plan in mind.
He first calmed his mother Martha down, then quickly found the Flash, Barry Allen, but Barry Allen was still at home experimenting with his abilities when Clark barged in.
“Barry Allen?” Clark looked at him with a puzzled expression.
In the comics he saw, the Flash, Barry Allen, was a goofball and the life of the party in the team, but he was also very mature and a steady person.
The young man in front of me...
Barry Allen was still in shock when he saw the message sent by General Zod, and then he turned around and saw a big guy wearing a tight suit and a red cape suddenly appear.
"You...you're the guy they were talking about on TV, my god, you're really strong!" Barry was a little incoherent, his body crackling with excitement, and his speed was visibly increasing.
Dio and Clark could only see clearly by increasing their speed.
Clark stepped forward and grabbed an excited Barry Allen, saying, "We're out of time. I need your help. Can you come with me?"
Clark's tone was pleading. Barry Allen swallowed hard, glanced at the unmoved Dio, and stammered a nod in agreement.
Dio stopped Clark, who was about to fly away, and said, "Let's take him with us and fly away. He's not that strong right now, and he doesn't have the clothes that help him run."
Seeing this, Clark noticed that Barry was dressed in ordinary sportswear. Helpless, he picked Barry up and flew directly into the air, heading towards Batman's house in Gotham City.
Gotham City, Wayne Manor.
Clark brought Barry Allen to Wayne Manor. After seeing the bewildered Bruce Wayne, he tossed Barry onto the sofa, said "I'll be back in a bit," and left.
Dio did not follow them, but stayed at Wayne Manor.
Bruce Wayne frowned as he looked at the group of people who had suddenly appeared, and glared at the two men in front of him, saying, "Who are you? Why are you in my house?"
Barry Allen was even more bewildered. Although he had met his fellow aliens from the ones on TV, he was still a little nervous about being inexplicably dumped in the home of Gotham City's richest man.
“Hello, my name is Barry Allen, I am…” Barry stammered as he introduced himself, which made Bruce Wayne frown even more.
After Barry Allen finished his introduction, Bruce Wayne looked at Dio.
Dio looked at the three pairs of eyes staring at him, adjusted his armor, and returned to his original state.
“You might not believe me if I introduced myself, but you should recognize me now that I look like this.” Dio reverted to his original form as Thanos, and even donned a helmet.
It strives to perfectly recreate the appearance from the comic.
“Thanos?” Barry Allen exclaimed in surprise.
"You're Thanos, the main villain from Marvel comics? Then what about Bruce Banner? Hulk?"
Barry Allen was so surprised that he was almost jumping for joy.
Batman's butler, Alfred, was so shocked that he forgot to raise his gun.
Bruce Wayne was more surprised, but not too shocked. After all, he had traveled the world and witnessed magic in order to save Gotham City.
He believed that Dio was just some kind of magician, and that his cartoonish appearance was simply to intimidate them.
Dio, of course, understood Batman's mindset; he wouldn't believe it without seeing substantial evidence.
So he tossed the comic book that Clark had shown to the people in front of him.
Barry Allen watched it in a few seconds using super speed, then exclaimed in amazement that Bruce Wayne was actually Batman.
Bruce Wayne fell into deep thought after reading it.
Dio didn't even need to read minds to know that this guy still didn't believe it!
Good heavens, although he used some hypnotic techniques to make Alfred, Clark, and Barry Allen believe him, he still ran into a series of obstacles with Bruce Wayne.
"You still don't believe me? Heh, it seems you're more suited to the Warhammer world." Dio shook his head helplessly, pulling Bruce Wayne into his hand, ignoring Barry Allen, who was nervously retreating, and Alfred, who had fired a shot.
They opened a portal directly to Stark Tower on Marvel Earth and then threw Bruce Wayne there.
When Alfred saw that the pistol was ineffective against Dio, he threw it away and ran away to hide.
Barry Allen, on the other hand, was trembling with fear.
"Ah Fu, come out quickly. If your young master comes back and doesn't see you, he'll probably think I killed you." Dio ignored Barry Allen and shouted to a corner of the room.
Alfred emerged carrying an ammunition box on his back and an XM556 Gatling gun in his hand.
Although this Gatling gun is the smallest Gatling gun, its rate of fire is no joke.
The Gatling gun began to spin, and Alfred watched Dio warily.
"Will Young Master Bruce be able to come back?"
"Of course, it's just to make him believe that there are other parallel worlds. I'm not going to kill him," Dio explained, shrugging.
Alfred was skeptical, but his guard remained, and Gatling continued to point at him.
Frustrated, Dio reached out and opened the portal again, throwing Bruce Wayne back.
Alfred dropped the Gatling gun he was holding and helped Bruce Wayne up from the ground.
"Young Master, are you alright?" Alfred asked with concern.
Bruce Wayne shook his head. As soon as he arrived, he ran into the Avengers who were having a meeting. The other side reacted immediately upon his arrival.
Tony Stark charged at him in his Iron Man suit, but luckily Bruce Wayne was still as skilled as ever, or he would have been taken down long ago.
"I believe you." Bruce Wayne looked at Dio, who was slowly turning back into himself, and said, panting heavily.
