Chapter 26 A Wonderful Misunderstanding

After lingering for a while, feeling that it was getting light outside, the two left the space.

As soon as Mo Ze lifted the tent flap, he looked up and met Mo Chen's curious gaze.

Seeing Mo Chen's knowing look, Mo Ze coughed uncomfortably.

"We, uh, I... I just arrived too, and I need to talk to Shushu about something," Mo Ze explained seriously.

If Mo Chen hadn't gone to see his brother first thing that morning, he almost would have believed him.

After yesterday's reflection, all four of them woke up this morning to find they had advanced one level. Mo Chen couldn't wait to tell his brother the good news, so he went to find him as soon as he woke up.

He called out to his brother for a long time, but there was no response. Mustering his courage, he lifted the tent flap and looked inside, only to find no one there.

"Shushu, good morning. How did you and my brother sleep last night?" Although she asked this question, the bright smile on her brother's face said it all.

Didn't you see that his brother was completely different when he woke up this morning? Although he doesn't know much about relationships between men and women, it must have been a wonderful experience.

"Not bad, how about you guys?" As soon as the words left her mouth, Lin Shushu knew she was in trouble. How did this sound like an admission of something? But they really hadn't done anything!

As expected, Mo Chen revealed a "I knew it" expression.

To avoid making things worse, Lin Shushu simply kept quiet and let them guess.

From the brothers' conversation, Lin Shushu learned the good news that Mo Chen and the other three had all advanced in their levels, and couldn't help but feel happy for them.

It seems that coming to Sunset Forest was the right decision; it truly is a great training ground. From initially having no power to resist a level-five beast, they have now united to kill one – their progress is remarkable.

After packing up, the group continued their adventure.

However, they hadn't walked far when they encountered Xiao Qin and her group again.

It turns out that Xiao Qin had never given up on verifying Mo Ze's identity, so she had been keeping an eye on their movements.

This morning, Mo Ze and Lin Shushu got up late and set off late, which is why they were spotted by someone with ulterior motives.

"We were wrong yesterday, and we hope you will forgive us for our past mistakes." Xiao Qin said, glancing at Ning Shiyu.

Ning Shiyu received her message and reluctantly stepped forward to apologize, "I'm sorry, Miss Lin, I misspoke yesterday, please forgive me." She then bowed.

Lin Shushu remained noncommittal, neither saying she forgave nor not forgave.

Ning Shiyu was somewhat indignant, but seeing Xiao Qin's warning look, she ultimately didn't say anything more unpleasant.

“Let’s go together. If we encounter what happened yesterday again, we can work together to deal with it again. This way, everyone’s safety will be better guaranteed.” Xiao Qin’s words were full of concern for everyone.

Although she was speaking to Mo Chen, she kept glancing at Mo Ze out of the corner of her eye. She wanted to judge who the core of the team was by observing Mo Ze's words and actions.

During breaks, Xiao Qin and Ning Shiyu kept trying to talk to Mo Ze, but he wouldn't give them the chance, staying close to Lin Shushu. When he saw them approaching, he immediately rejected them with his eyes.

After several attempts, Xiao Qing and Ning Shiyu decided it was best not to rush forward again.

They then turned to Mo Chen and the others to inquire about information, but Mo Chen and the other three were not stupid and managed to prevent them from obtaining any useful information about Mo Ze and Lin Shushu.

When it was time to eat, Xiao Qin took out the meat stored in her spatial storage. "Ah Chen, this is the latest purified meat from my company. The purification rate is 70%. You can have it!"

Mo Chen glanced at the meat in front of him but didn't take it. What was a 70% purification rate? They had been eating 100% purified meat these past few days.

Seeing that Mo Chen did not take it, Xiao Qin thought he was being reserved and continued, "Our two families have always been on good terms, so a little meat is nothing."

“This is the meat with the highest purification rate that you can find on the market. It tastes amazing. You definitely won’t feel like throwing up after eating it,” Ning Shiyu said, while giving Lin Shushu a meaningful look.

Clearly, she recognized Lin Shushu as the girl who had complained about the barbecue at the restaurant next to the space station. She had only remembered her last night and then told Xiao Qin about her discovery.

The reason they didn't recognize Lin Shushu and Mo Ze immediately when they met yesterday was because Mo Ze had his back to them at the restaurant; otherwise, they would have recognized him as soon as they met yesterday.

Seeing that Mo Chen still hadn't answered, Xiao Qin assumed that Mo Chen disliked the meat because it came from the production line. "Only this meat is of the best quality. I can't process it to that extent yet," she explained, looking embarrassed.

"That won't be long, Qinqin. You're the youngest Level 6 Purifier. Reaching the 70% purification standard will definitely be achieved soon." Ning Shiyu complimented Xiao Qin while giving Lin Shushu a provocative look.

Lin Shushu was utterly speechless. What was wrong with these two? Why were they looking at her with such strange eyes? She hadn't bothered them at all.

Lin Shushu glanced at Mo Ze beside her; it was all because of his face.

Mo Ze was puzzled as to why Lin Shushu was looking at him like that, assuming she was hungry. "Shushu, wait here, I'll go and hunt some game for you right away."

Lin Shushu looked at him with amusement, but did not stop him from leaving.

However, it's time to get rid of these people; with them around, nothing is convenient.
