Chapter 201 The Dilapidated Disco
Chapter 201 The Dilapidated Disco
Everyone quickly began to act according to the plan.
Daigo and Shinjo rushed towards the G13 area of the bay, exchanging their views on the missing person case along the way, trying to find more inspiration from each other's ideas.
Lina and Zara boarded the patrol car and slowly drove towards the designated patrol route, keeping a close watch on their surroundings and remaining highly vigilant.
Lina gripped the steering wheel tightly, her sharp eyes scanning the scenery outside the window, not missing a single suspicious detail.
Lin Yeming and Lucia also got into the patrol car.
Lucia asked curiously, "Ye Ming, what kind of person do you think that old man in the media is? Can he really help us find useful clues?"
Lin Yeming smiled slightly: "I don't know much about this matter either. I only know that the commander has a habit of going to bars to drink. I only have a general impression of him. The Victory Team suffered a loss in publicity before, and the captain even personally appeared on a TV program... Maybe that's when we met."
Lucia nodded and stopped talking, gazing at Lin Yeming's profile with a fascination.
Meanwhile, Daigo and Shinjo have arrived in the G13 area of the Gulf.
A sense of oppression permeated the air; the streets were deserted, and the few pedestrians who did pass by seemed to be in a hurry.
They first went to the police station, hoping to get more detailed information about the missing officers from the police.
The police officers who greeted them seemed a little nervous and spoke haltingly.
Shinjo frowned and said seriously, "We are from TPC Victory Team, and we are investigating the case of the missing police officer. We hope you can provide all relevant information truthfully and stop hiding anything."
The police hesitated for a moment, then finally took out a file and handed it to them.
Daigo and Shinjo carefully examined the documents and discovered that the missing police officer had received a phone call before disappearing, and then went to an abandoned warehouse alone.
“It seems there’s something wrong with this abandoned warehouse,” Daigo said.
Meanwhile, Lina and Zara, during their patrol, spotted a suspicious black sedan.
The car drove slowly, stopping and starting frequently, seemingly trying to avoid their sight.
"Follow that car," Lina ordered decisively.
The patrol car quietly followed behind the black sedan, maintaining a safe distance.
The black sedan seemed to realize it was being followed, and suddenly sped up, heading towards a secluded side road.
Lina slammed on the gas, staying right up to their target. "Zara, get ready to record what's going on along the way, see where they're headed."
Zara quickly operated the instruments, intently recording the signs and road conditions along the way. The patrol car sped along the winding road, the trees on both sides flashing by, kicking up clouds of dust.
"They're going too fast, and this path is rough and uneven, it's not easy to keep up," Zara said anxiously.
"It's okay, we must keep them on our toes." Lina's gaze was firm, her hands firmly gripping the steering wheel, skillfully navigating the bumps in the road.
At this moment, Daigo and Shinjo left the police station and headed towards the abandoned warehouse according to the address recorded in the file.
The closer you get to the warehouse, the more eerie the atmosphere becomes, with a musty smell of decay permeating the air.
"Daigo, can you feel it? There seems to be an inexplicable eerie atmosphere here." Shinjo warily observed his surroundings.
"Hmm, be careful. Who knows what might be waiting for us inside." Daigo gripped his weapon tightly and cautiously walked towards the warehouse door.
The warehouse door was half-open, creaking in the wind.
Daigo and Shinjo exchanged a glance, then slowly pushed open the door. A cloud of old dust rushed in, causing them to cough involuntarily.
The warehouse was dimly lit, with only a few rays of sunlight streaming through holes in the roof, forming beams of light.
In the dim light, they could see some messy footprints on the ground, as well as the strange symbols mentioned earlier and dried bloodstains.
“These symbols look like they were left behind by some kind of mysterious ritual.” Daigo crouched down and carefully examined the symbols.
Xincheng examined the bloodstains with a furrowed brow: "These bloodstains look like they've been there for a while. I wonder if they're related to the missing police officer."
Just as they were focused on their investigation, they suddenly heard a slight noise, as if something was moving in the darkness. The two immediately became alert, standing back to back and warily watching their surroundings.
"Who's there? Come out!" Xincheng shouted.
However, all they received in response was endless silence and a faint rustling sound.
On the other side, Lina and Zara were in hot pursuit of the black sedan.
The car stopped in front of a dilapidated building, and several people dressed in black suits and wearing sunglasses got out.
They hurried inside the building.
"Get out of the car and follow them to see what's going on," Lina said softly.
The two cautiously approached the building and discovered that it was an old disco.
The sign outside the dance hall flickered with almost extinguished lights, exuding an air of decay.
There was a pile of miscellaneous items at the entrance, and the walls were covered with graffiti and peeling paint.
Lina and Zara crouched low and quietly made their way through the clutter to the entrance of the ballroom.
Loud music and indistinct voices could be heard coming from the open door.
"What are they doing here in such a dilapidated place?" Zara asked in a low voice, puzzled.
"I don't know, but there's definitely something fishy going on. Let's go in and take a look." Lina said, gently pushing open the door and stepping inside.
The ballroom was dimly lit, with colorful lights flickering intermittently, barely illuminating the dance floor and the scattered tables and chairs around it.
The men in black were scattered in various corners, some talking, others looking around warily.
Lina and Zara hid behind a thick pillar, observing the situation.
At that moment, they noticed a man in a black trench coat standing on the small stage of the ballroom, speaking loudly to the people below.
"...The plan must be expedited. The police and TPC agents have already begun their investigation. We can't afford any more mistakes." The man in the trench coat spoke with a serious expression, a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes.
“But boss, things have gotten serious. TPC branches are all gathered here, and security has increased significantly. If we force our way through, it might attract the attention of the Victory Team,” a man in black said worriedly from below the stage.
"There's no time to wait... If all else fails, we'll have to break through from within; we must speed things up."
Lina and Zara exchanged a glance, their hearts filled with shock.
It appears that this mysterious organization is carrying out a dangerous plan, and it is likely closely related to the disappearances.
Just as they were about to investigate further, a man in black seemed to sense something was amiss and walked toward where they were hiding.
Lina and Zara tensed up, gripping their weapons tightly, ready to draw them at any moment.
Meanwhile, at the abandoned warehouse, Daigo and Shinjo remained vigilant, quietly waiting for the source of the noise to appear.
The rustling sound grew closer, and suddenly, a huge rat darted out of the darkness and flashed past in the beam of light.
"It was just a mouse. It gave me quite a fright." Xincheng breathed a sigh of relief.
"No, why are there such big rats here, and why is the surrounding environment so strange? There must be something else going on." Daigo stood up and continued searching the warehouse.
They followed the footprints and symbols and found that the footprints led to a corner of the warehouse, where there was a tightly closed iron door. A huge, rusty padlock hung on the door.
"I wonder what's hidden behind this." Daigo tried pushing the iron gate, but it didn't budge.
Xincheng carefully examined the lock, took out tools from his pocket, and began trying to pick it. After some effort, the lock clicked open.
The two slowly pushed open the iron gate, and a pungent smell hit them.
Behind the door was a narrow passageway, with strange paintings hanging on the walls on both sides, depicting distorted human figures and mysterious symbols.
"This place feels increasingly eerie," Xincheng said, frowning.
"No matter what, let's go in and take a look." Daigo led the way into the passage, his weapon ready to deal with any unexpected situations.
