Chapter 812 - 811: Never Liked You
Chapter 812 - 811: Never Liked You
Earlier, Felicity Sterling’s attitude toward Elliot Walsh hadn’t been very good. Elliot explained on her behalf that she was just in a bad mood. After thinking about it, Old Madam Walsh agreed, so she still wanted to see the wedding properly carried out.
Who could have known that when she came over with people to comfort Felicity, what she heard was that kind of conversation, and she even saw Felicity raise her hand and slap Elliot.
"Grandma!"
Seeing Old Madam Walsh at the door, Elliot said in a panic. Before coming upstairs he had deliberately asked the servants and learned that his grandmother wasn’t around, only then had he come over to talk to Felicity.
Even now, though he was angry, he still wanted tomorrow’s wedding to go on.
He thought that as long as Felicity realized she was wrong, as long as she thought things through, everything could still go back to the way it was.
But she was too stubborn. Felicity wouldn’t listen to his persuasion, and now his grandmother had heard and seen everything.
"It’s not what you saw."
Elliot defended Felicity.
Felicity also knew she shouldn’t have slapped Elliot. She timidly called out, "Grandma," but Old Madam Walsh looked at her coldly and didn’t respond.
"Elliot, cancel the wedding."
Old Madam Walsh wasn’t discussing it with Elliot; she had already made up her mind.
"Grandma!"
Elliot called anxiously. Old Madam Walsh cast a cold glance at Felicity, then turned and went downstairs in a clean break.
Elliot chased after her. He had taken only two steps when he thought of Felicity behind him, and turned back to say, "Felicity, I’ll go talk to Grandma first."
"No need."
Felicity said it directly.
After spending some time with Old Madam Walsh, how could she not tell that the old lady never really liked her that much!
She wasn’t some pampered young lady of The Sterling Family. June Kane had gone to prison, and now she herself was branded an illegitimate child.
Even without that slap she’d just given Elliot, Old Madam Walsh had come over today to announce the cancellation of the wedding.
"Felicity!"
Felicity turned around and began packing up all of her things here. "Elliot Walsh, let’s break up!"
"I’m not worthy of you now."
She was nothing. Both her parents were in prison.
"This isn’t about being worthy or not," Elliot said.
"Felicity, Grandma doesn’t care about those things."
Elliot didn’t care about Felicity’s background either. "Just like we agreed before: once we finish the wedding, we’ll leave the Imperial Capital."
"After that, we won’t come back much."
Elliot was thinking on Felicity’s behalf. He figured that if she came back to the Imperial Capital less, she’d face less gossip and her heart wouldn’t hurt so much.
"Heh."
Felicity let out a cold laugh. "Who says I should come back to the Imperial Capital less?"
She turned around to face Elliot. "I don’t want to leave the Imperial Capital at all."
"I grew up here. Why should I leave the Imperial Capital!"
Because of Serena Sullivan? On what grounds!
As Felicity spoke, tears fell. She really couldn’t accept losing like this, and losing so miserably!
"If you want to stay in the Imperial Capital, that’s fine too." Elliot took a step back. He only wanted Felicity to live a good life with him.
As for The Sterling Family and Serena Sullivan, they actually had little to do with their future life.
"Ha ha!"
Felicity laughed out loud. "Elliot Walsh, you have no idea what I mean at all!"
"No, if I hadn’t fallen this low, if The Sterling Family hadn’t cast you off, I would never marry you!"
At this point, there was nothing left that she couldn’t say to Elliot.
Today she was going to lay her feelings out clearly for him!
"Elliot Walsh, listen to me carefully!"
"I have never liked you. If I hadn’t been abandoned by The Sterling Family and The Ford Family, I would never marry you!"
