Vexa, Silith, Noctis, Gorr, and Morrow had extremely pale expressions the moment they perceived the aura of the Demon Lord that was furiously approaching them.

"What are you guys doing freezing like fools? Teleport us out of here, Vexa."
"That barrier is definitely not holding back this brat’s father."
Simon’s words brought Vexa out of her petrified state.
Without wasting another second, she poured her demonic energy into the ring like artifact.
She stretched out her hand and the space in front of her began rippling.
Silith, Noctis, Gorr, and Morrow watched with bated breaths.
They were barely breathing because of the fear they were feeling in their hearts.
"Hey. It’s almost six seconds but it doesn’t look like the portal is about to form. What’s going on?"
Simon suddenly asked and Vexa glared at him.
"Is it not your fault?!" She growled with fury burning in her eyes.
"I have exhausted my demonic energy because of you. I don’t have enough demonic energy and I can’t circulate my demonic energy normally cause of how stressed my demonic pathways are."
Simon furrowed his brows slightly, then he looked up for a second before approaching Vexa.
"What are you doing?" Vexa asked with narrowed eyes when she saw him approach her while dragging Lucien on the floor like a piece of garbage.
She had not trusted Simon before, but after what he did to her and her teammates, she trusted him even less and she hated him.
Being used by someone was not a good feeling in the slightest.
As for Simon, he didn’t care about her thoughts or feelings.
He just wanted to live.
"Focus and don’t resist... He’ll be here very soon."
Vexa looked up, and her expression became grave when she saw that snow and a thin sheet of ice was beginning to form on the barrier around the auction house.
This snow and ice was not solely because of the cold environment.
No.
It was as a result of the aura of the furious Demon Lord approaching them.
He was close.
Very close.
The Frostborns and many other demons were either watching them or trying to break the barrier.
But they were all waiting for one thing.
The arrival of Lucien’s father.
Vexa suddenly felt two hands on her back and she looked at Simon.
"Focus... and don’t resist."
Less than a second later, she felt a foreign stream of demonic energy flowing into her body and her eyes could not help but widen.
’What the hell? Why is his demonic energy so... different. So... pure and dense?’
’And what is this level of control and speed? I’m not resisting his demonic energy, but he’s moving it through my body like there’s no obstruction.’
’Who the fuck is this kid?’
The act of infusing one’s demonic energy into another demon’s body required trust and carefulness.
Vexa knew this, and though she was shocked and had so many questions, she knew that the reality of their situation was not good.
She helped Simon guide his demonic energy through her body and into the teleportation ring.
To her surprise and disbelief, it only took three seconds for the ring to glow and for the portal to form in front of her.
’Should it be that fast? I know that I’ve already infused my demonic energy into the ring, but Broken Halo is just a Fiend at the end of the day.’
’It should not have been that fast... What the hell?’
Unfortunately for Vexa, she had no idea that Simon’s demonic energy had an affinity for the space element.
His demonic energy was better to use than hers.
The moment the portal was completely formed, Simon withdrew all his demonic energy from Vexa’s body.
If he left it inside of her, it could either be a poison or she could benefit from it if she was talented and strong willed.
Simon wanted none of that, so he made sure to withdraw all his demonic energy.
After doing this, he looked at the swirling black portal that was about to stabilize.
However, he suddenly looked up and his expression drastically changed.
"Tch."
Without hesitation, he ran inside the portal.
He did not bother saying anything since every single moment he wasted brought him closer to death.
If Vexa and the others were too slow in reacting, then it wasn’t his fault.
Meanwhile, when Vexa and the others saw Simon running into the portal, they were taken aback.
But in the next moment, they became whiter than snow.
"WHERE IS MY SON?!!!!"
Surprisingly, the voice was not that of a male but a female.
And not only was Vexa, Silith, Noctis, Gorr, and Morrow surprised, even the Frostborns and other demons outside the barrier were surprised.
Lucien’s mother had arrived.
And she was now a Demon Lord?
Many were shocked.
Meanwhile, Vexa roared with fear.
"MOVEEEE!!!!"
She jumped into the portal the moment she roared.
Silith, Noctis, Gorr, and Morrow were not close to the portal like Simon and Vexa, so they had to move as quickly as possible.
Noctis was the fastest and he quickly jumped inside the portal.
Silith followed.
Then Morrow.
As for Gorr, he was too slow.
Shatter!
The sound of glass shattering echoed across and beyond the auction building, then a spear made out of ice suddenly struck Gorr.
However, luck was on Gorr’s side.
The ice spear only cut off his arm and the shockwave of the ice spear slamming into the ground blasted Gorr into the portal.
A fraction of a second later, the portal began closing but two pale skin hands suddenly held the edges of the portal.
Ice formed around the hands and it began to slowly spread across the edges of the portal.
"And who said you could take my son you bastards?!!!"
Lucien’s mother roared in fury then she froze the edges of the portal and prevented it from closing.
She was about to enter the portal and chase after Simon and the Grey Pact, but her expression suddenly changed and she quickly coated her entire body with ice and crossed them in front of her.
In the next moment, the portal slammed shut and self destructed.
